Andie’s Princess Alice Hospice Santa Fun Run
The year is nearly up but there was still enough time to continue our 100 hours pledge and squeeze in another charity to support in 2016.
Princess Alice Hospice cares for people with terminal illnesses living in Surrey, south west London and Middlesex.
On Sunday 4th December my family, friends and I took part in their annual Santa Fun Run in Richmond Park. This is a fond favourite of ours and we strive to make it an annual event which we all really enjoy.
It’s a great way to kick start the festive season whilst helping to raise much needed funds and awareness for such a worthwhile local charity.
Although it was a very cold day, the sun was shining and everyone made it round the 5K route. The kids loved taking part and there were even some sprint finishes thanks to the encouraging volunteers and enthusiastic supporters!
The amount raised from the Santa Fun Runs in Bushy Park and Richmond Park help to fund care and support on Christmas Day for patients and their families.
