Christmas Jumper Day
Wow, it’s that time of year again, Christmas is upon us! Christmas is a time for giving and at TRC rather than giving corporate gifts and sending a corporate Christmas card, we like to take the money we would have spent on those and give it to a charity instead.
In the past we’ve sponsored endangered animals, provided equipment to villages in Africa to enable them to farm the land, planted trees to try and combat any air miles we clock up and donated to various cancer charities.
This year we wanted to have a bit of fun whilst still doing our bit to support someone in need, so we decided to take part in Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day.
On Friday 12th December the TRC team all sashayed in to work in their Christmas Jumpers. There was tinsel and baubles, snowmen and reindeer and an abundance of bells that left one team member sounding like a Morris dancer every time he went to answer the phone!
Never one to waste an opportunity to “spread the good wool” we challenged the other offices in our building to follow suit and also don their Christmas attire.
What resulted was a very festive day of fun and fundraising!
Adding the money raised on the day to the amount TRC annually donate we managed to raise a grand total of
Given that the government will be matching pound for pound any amount donated, that means an amazing
will be going to Save the Children, a fantastic effort by all involved!
Save the Children work in 120 countries to save and transform children’s lives, you can read about the work they do here
So all of us here at TRC would like to thank everyone that got involved and helped make it such a fun successful day.
We’d also like to wish everyone a Totally Rocking Christmas and a fantastic New Year
