TRC were appointed by C&A to work with their In-store Experience team to redevelop their existng VM Guide.
Together with the C&A global team in Dusseldorf we established they wanted to move away from the corporate traditional style of their current VM guide and make the new one more dynamic, user friendly and engaging.
As well as updating the look and feel we created new content to show the most up to date VM techniques, producing a practical a tool that could be used to train staff on the C&A Visual merchandising principles, with the ultimate goal of delivering a successful brand experience in store.
Topics covered in the VM guide included:
– Understanding space & the store layout
– C&A product hierarchy
– How to use the fixtures & fittings
– VM principles
– Retail standards
The guide was designed to be very visual, easy to understand and inviting to use.
During the process TRC managed the flow of content, creation of visuals and layout design. Prototype VM guides were produced to test page layouts and functionality including pull out concertina pages with laser cut details.
The VM guide was created and handed off to C&A in a print ready format. C&A managed the translation and printing locally as well as the distribution to C&A stores all around Europe.
