Having designed their retail concept three years ago, we continue to work with Orlebar Brown, planning their global stores and re creating the brand concept in a variety of retail spaces all over the world.
We were asked to design a new London POP up store located in Walton Street, South Kensington. This was a unique project, as the brief called for a temporary store that was not only a typical retail space but one that could incorporate a generous ‘Heritage collection’ and a cafe in collaboration with Bodyism. To mark the brand’s 10 year anniversary, this new store is one of many collaborations that founder Adam Brown has embarked on to celebrate their mile stone year.
It was apparent that the Y shaped space could be perfectly divided in to three zones of the store. The largest area is decked out with a standard Orlebar Brown fixture set as you would find in a long term store however for this temporary space, the typical corrugate walls were replaced with painted white walls with a red datum running around the perimeter.
The left hand side of the store is shared by the Bodyism cafe and OB’s Heritage space. The Heritage collection is arranged around a casual seating area next to a wall of shorts, showcasing the core and most iconic product of the brand. Mounted behind the cash desk, a salon style picture wall tells the story of the brand’s journey and history and is an engaging visual celebration of it’s 10 year anniversary. Behind the retail zone the secluded and generous fitting rooms are adorned with the iconic rainfall shower light fittings and bold tropical wall paper.
We really enjoy working with the team at Orlebar Brown and feel proud to have designed this latest store, adding to their ever growing portfolio.
