Pretty Green is a classic men’s retail fashion brand founded in 2009 by Liam Gallagher.
In 2015, they appointed TRC to initiate the design ideas for a new retail concept that would help them launch the next phase of their retail implementation strategy.
The initial process involved; a visual brand audit and competitor analysis, immersing our team deep in to the brand history and forging relationships with Product, Design and Marketing teams. This allowed us to create a clear store design brief on behalf of our client.
Once the strategic direction had been formed, we worked alongside the brand to develop an engaging customer journey, the visual merchandising principles, the material pallet and then created the ‘kit of parts’ that would fit the fabric of the new stores.
Specific consideration was given to how the retail concept design ideas would work across a range of different store sizes, from flagship through to wholesale spaces, whilst ensuring brand consistency across all channels of distribution.
Our design concept magnifies Pretty Green’s strong music heritage, bringing to life the principles of ‘The Venue’.
Classic iconic music venue elements were used including rigging, blackout curtains, staging, and flight cases to give an authentic setting for the product. Like a music venue, the stage can be de-rigged and reset.
The concept that TRC designed for Pretty Green created a fully flexible space that could be easily reconfigured for customer events and gigs, creating an exciting but relaxed place to meet and shop.
Pretty Green have used the TRC design components, including a dramatic chandelier housed in a large packing crate, in their latest Glasgow store opening.
