UGG Europe approached and appointed TRC to develop a retail concept for their first POP UP store in the UK.
The TRC team worked in partnership with UGG to design and develop a completely new solution for the mid floor fixtures and window units as well as working out how to customise the existing retail concept wall fixtures to create new focal bays.
This POP UP store design came with specific challenges that included how to use the existing wall system, flooring, lighting, cash desk and back of house in order minimise investment and installation time on site.
TRC designed and produced 5 bespoke floor units using the classic material palette of natural oak and gloss white. Intentionally pared down, the units were created from a series of intersecting shelves set at different heights. This allowed for clear category zoning, whilst keeping the focus on the product and guiding you through the store.
TRC managed the design specification and production of the new retail furniture supported by a full set of 2D production drawings and 3D renderings. Preproduction prototypes were prepared for sign off approval by UGG. We were on site in Liverpool to manage and oversee the installation process.
This project was delivered within tight timelines and to a strict budget to deliver an engaging consumer experience. The 1,345 sq ft store on Liverpool One’s, Paradise Street opened showcasing a curated selection of UGG’s Autumn/Winter 2015 collection.
Featuring women’s, men’s, kids footwear and loungewear as well as accessories, the store still offered a luxurious shopping environment. It also included the ‘Infinite UGG’ service, which allows customers to view the entire product range via a digital kiosk and order something for collection or for a next day delivery to an address of their choice.
