VM & Display show
I was very excited to get a chance to visit the VM & Display show in London Islington. I have been on maternity leave for just over a year. A few months ago I made my return to work, so it was great to go and see what I’ve been missing & what is happening in the VM world.
The show is the longest running exhibition for the industry and covers everything within Visual Merchandising & Display from mannequins, hangers, prop makers, display services, printing companies, props, design, graphics, POP, lighting, fabrics and everything in between. There were a few companies in particular that impressed me with their products.
One company by the name of Window France had a very innovative mannequin, with changeable eye make up and lips. With a magnetic stick, the eyes and lips and be removed in favor of new ones, to achieve a completely new look.
The HeadWorks had created a mannequin with a 3D holographic head. Such a great idea! The concept needs fine tuning, but I’m sure we will be seeing them very soon.
Also a small family run company from Serbia had great selection of imaginative hangers.
Overall, it was a great trip to the VM & Display show and I’m looking forward to visiting again next year.
