RFE Showrooms – Munich
RFE International have an aim to become the first choice provider of home fitness equipment. Their Reebok branded products quickly became the top selling home fitness equipment throughout Europe. This achievement soon granted them the rights to develop product outside of the home and into the commercial gym environment. In 2010 they were granted the global license to create and market sports training equipment under the adidas brand. They became the first and only licensee within the adidas Group to manage both the Reebok and adidas brands – a true testament to the success of their business.
We have been working with the RFE International since 2012, supporting them to design and build their exhibition stands, giving us in depth knowledge about their brand. This, along with our great understanding of the retail solutions for both Reebok and Adidas, meant that TRC were the perfect partner to help design and develop their Showrooms in Munich.
TRC were tasked to create a single showroom that showcased a product range that spans across both brands ranging from weight lifting gloves to running machines. This space also had to accommodate a small reception area, a company history wall and a large keep fit rig or home gym with demonstration/try out area.
Design challenges included limited wall space due to the numerous large windows, countless radiators and an L-shaped layout. This was overcome by working with a manufacturer to produce bespoke pieces to fit the space. We also managed the ordering and delivery of existing adidas and Reebok furniture. We were then on site in Munich to manage and oversee the installation process.
The design scheme integrated actual retail concept furniture from both brands, this helped to authenticate the product range and allowed retailers to envisage how the product could appear within a adidas or Reebok branded retail space.
Budget wouldn’t stretch to updating the existing flooring but through the use of retail fixtures, large scale graphics and bespoke props we were able to achieve a smart, focused, professional selling space that delighted the client.
