Things that inspired us this month...

Sporting Glory...

Despite cold dreary days, the thrills and great performances from the amazing athletes at the Winter Olympics have helped to inspire us this month.  With a 5 medal win for team GB and some memorable record breaking moments from Chloe Kim, the youngest snowboarding Gold medallist at just 17 and Norway’s Marit Bjorgen winning her 15th medal at the games Pyeong Chang was a pretty awesome ride.

Design…

Hein visited the Surface Design show earlier this month to take a look at the latest innovations and products available, which is important research for our retail design projects.  Some interesting leather and felt wall coverings were his favourite this year.

Tropical beauty…

The renowned annual Orchid Festival at Kew Gardens is a great way to escape the winter blues and the stunning colourful displays of rare Thai orchids are truly breath taking.  The Princess of Wales conservatory that houses the exhibition is also nice and warm so another good reason to visit we think!

Plastic not so fantastic…

Netherlands supermarket chain Ekoplaza has introduced the first plastic free aisle in it's Amsterdam Store and plans to roll out this initiative to it's other 74 stores by the end of the year. Goods within the aisle will carry the Plastic Free Mark, a label introduced by British campaign group 'A Plastic Planet' to help shoppers easily identify products that are completely free of plastic packaging.

 Good to be back...

We were proud to design and plan the Fithub 3.0 store for Reebok which was installed in Harrods this month.  This is the first time Reebok have had a dedicated space in the iconic department store for 4 years so it was an exciting project to work on.  Read more about it here.
